GRAPEVINE, Texas – The Women’s Foodservice Forum's 20th annual convention got off to a great start in Grapevine. Among the highlights were a keynote speech by “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts and the naming of Barbara Kane as the group’s 2009 Volunteer of the Year.
Kane, an assistant vice president for industry relations at Ecolab Inc., had served the WFF as the chair of the 2008 Executive Women’s Summit and helpedhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif in strategic planning for the Executive Programming Committee.
During the business meeting, Mary O’Broin became WFF chair, succeeding Linda Pharr, who will remain as interim president of the WFF. O'Broin is vice president of marketing for the Americas at Unilever Foodsolutions.
