Doing Social Media Right

Some restaurant chains are doing social media right, according to Kat Cole, left, of Hooters of America Inc. and Amanda Hite, founder of Talent Revolution. In a Tuesday MUFSO presentation on "New Communication Strategies: Build Your Business with Social Networks and Viral Marketing," the two offered tips for effectively using such social media as Facebook and Twitter. Creating loyalty and attracting new customers is part of the equation, and Cole (who is vice president for training and development at Hooters) cited Claim Jumper's effect on one blogger.
