Signature dish

Daniel Boulud, above left, chef owner of Daniel restaurant in New York City, drew lines of fans Sunday seeking autographs on his books during the National Restaurant Show in Chicago. The French-born chef, who also owns restaurants in Las Vegas and Palm Beach and Miami, Fla., drew an all-American crowd, including Chris Escalante, above right, a lead cook with Sodexo in Mishawaka, Ind.
